South Mountain Rehab Center is seeking a dependable, motivated, and compassionate Cook to join our Dietary Services team. If you enjoy preparing quality meals and making a difference in the lives of others, we'd love to meet you!

As a Cook, you'll play an important role in providing nutritious, great-tasting meals to our residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus, recipes, and therapeutic diets.

• Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area.

• Properly label, date, and store food items.

• Monitor food quality and portion control.

• Work closely with dietary aides and kitchen staff to ensure excellent meal service.

• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed.

• Follow all state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.

• Previous cooking experience required.

• Experience in a nursing home, healthcare, or institutional kitchen is preferred.

• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
