• Deliver an exceptional guest experience: provide friendly, prompt service at the register or self‑checkout, suggest additional products, address guest concerns with urgency and involve managers as needed.
• Help keep our stores stocked & fresh: ensure food and beverage items are available and up to quality standards, restock shelves, coolers, and display areas as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety: keep the store environment inside and out clean and welcoming, perform regular cleaning tasks, and follow all safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking.
• Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, process transactions, handle cash and card payments, and provide excellent guest service.
• Act as the first point of contact for guest concerns, responding respectfully and recognizing when to defer to a shift manager.
• Maintain a clean and organized food service area, ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients, and adhere to all food safety regulations.
• Ensure safety protocols when handling chemicals and assist in cleaning all areas of the store.
• Adhere to safety protocols when handling chemicals and ensure shelves are fully stocked.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions to uphold food safety standards, clean preparation stations thoroughly.
• Proactively inform guests about promotional food items and drive product engagement.
• Act in accordance with Race Trac policies and local safety regulations.
• Respond to feedback from guests, team members, and leaders to enhance performance.
• Be a reliable team player by arriving on time, supporting teammates, sharing information, and working effectively with people from various backgrounds.
• Engage with guests and teammates politely and respectfully, listening actively to requests without interrupting.

• High School Diploma or GED (or in progress).
• Previous experience in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment.
• A team player who takes initiative and enjoys working with people.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending and standing.
• May need to obtain and maintain a food handler or alcohol server permit, depending on state/local regulations.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, good communication skills, and a positive attitude.
