Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources.
  • Communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service, being flexible to the needs of the business, maintaining in‑stock levels and controlling shrinkage.
  • Plan bakery production ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs, following recipe measurement instructions and work with a variety of products (e.g., decorating bags, tips, nozzles) to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items.
  • Adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training and product quality.
  • Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, and preparing for seasonal events that impact bakery volume (e.g., holidays, graduations, family events). Identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve member issues and concerns.
  • Act as a brand advocate, modeling high quality service and products. Interact with associates to understand roadblocks, assist in training, develop and inspire them to work in a style that is respectful, supportive and team‑oriented.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity; implement related action plans and use the Open Door Policy to address issues.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners. Identify priorities, deadlines and expectations, communicate progress and information, and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities.
  • Embrace differences in people, cultures, ideas and experiences to create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported and connected through a culture of belonging. Create opportunities for all associates to thrive and perform.

Compensation

Hourly wage: $18.00 to $25.00 (actual rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location). Additional compensation in the form of premiums may range from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Multiple premiums may apply.
