Store Associate

Position Summary

Retail Store Associates play a meaningful role within the CVS Health family. They assist customers in a retail setting, provide customer service, handle cashier duties, restock shelves, support store operations, and may assist in the pharmacy. The role emphasizes compassion, customer focus, and growth opportunities.

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and actively identifying and resolving service issues.
• Offer a warm and friendly greeting, maintain eye contact, and help locate additional items as needed.
• Accurately perform cashier duties—handling cash, checks and credit card transactions—while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support opening and closing store activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy for growth and career development opportunities.
• Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs that support the purpose of helping people on their path to better health.

• At least 16 years of age.

• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods of time.
• Lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects to and from, including overhead lifting.
• Visual acuity sufficient for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspection involving small parts or details.

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Anticipated weekly hours: 15 hours. Part‑time position. Pay range: $15.00 – $19.00 per hour.
