Overview
This role is responsible for conducting deep pre‑engagement prospect research, identifying potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and managing sales‑qualified leads (SQL) from acquisition through pass‑off to Account Executives (AE). The position works in coordination with AEs, Sales & Marketing leadership, and CX to ensure steady, ongoing pipeline engagement and to help meet company growth goals.
Responsibilities- Daily deep prospect research (understanding entry title and supporting titles, prospect work history, content/ads consumption, etc.) using tools like Seamless.ai, Linked In Sales Navigator, Google, ChatGPT, etc.
- Identify potential customers and generate new SQLs; contact prospects via email, Linked In, phone, etc., and qualify potential customers.
- Set appointments for AEs and follow up on multi‑threaded prospect conversions.
- Determine when an opportunity should be passed to an AE immediately.
- Track progress toward meeting BDR, Sales, and Marketing goals.
- Collaborate with AEs and the sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets.
- Use Outreach.io, , Seamless.ai, and other tools to acquire, manage, and close leads and to conduct other sales activities.
- Stay up‑to‑date on market trends, competition, and industry developments.
- Report regularly on prospecting and sales activities to management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2‑3 years of experience in a BDR or similar sales role.
- Proficiency in using tools like SFDC, Linked In, Seamless.ai for prospecting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain multi‑threaded relationships with many potential clients.
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.
- Strong problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change.
