Business Development Associate - IT Products and Services Sales
Reports to: Business Development Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results‑driven Business Development Associate to join our team, responsible for driving growth and revenue expansion through the sale of Information Technology (IT) products and services. The successful candidate will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with key decision‑makers, and work closely with our technical experts to deliver tailored solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation
- Develop and execute sales strategies to pursue identified opportunities
- Build relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers at target accounts
- Collaborate with technical experts to develop tailored solutions and proposals
- Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to prospects and customers
- Analyze customer needs and provide consultative sales approach
- Manage and maintain accurate pipeline and forecast reports
- Meet or exceed sales targets and performance goals
- Stay up‑to‑date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the IT industry
- Strong understanding of IT products and services, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and artificial intelligence
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and performance goals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with sales enablement tools and platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Linked In Sales Navigator)
- Familiarity with IT industry certifications (e.g. CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft)
- MBA or advanced degree in Business or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development in the IT industry
- Experience in managing large‑scale sales pursuits and complex sales cycles
- Strong understanding of IT service management and ITIL framework
- Experience with cloud‑based platforms and software (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
