• Use your knowledge of Car Max inventory to assist customers in finding a vehicle that meets their needs.
• Guide customers every step of the way, from sale or appraisal to test drives and arranging financing applications.
• Complete all relevant records and documentation to ensure smooth transactions for our customers.

Car Max pays new Sales Consultants a competitive wage while training and through the first 640 hours of selling, after which commissions become the primary base of pay.

Auto sales experience is not necessary – we provide paid training and a personal sales mentor who is dedicated to your ongoing development. • Sales and customer service experience, in an area such as retail, is preferred.
• Good listening skills and a strong customer focus.
• High level of self‑motivation.

• Competitive hourly wage: $16.01 - $20.00 per hour.
• Eligible for commission.
• Paid sick time up to 48 hours per year, accrued on a per pay‑period basis.
• Vacation time ranging from 80 to 200 hours per year after a 90‑day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service.
• Paid for 6 scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday, with holiday premium pay if work is required on a holiday.
• Full‑time salaried associates receive paid time away with no specified limit for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc., subject to manager approval.
