Compensation

$65,000 – $85,000 base + 10% performance bonus potential + $650/month non-taxable car allowance (paid weekly)

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Relationship Management: Serve as the primary, strategic day-to-day point of contact for established retail chain accounts, nurturing relationships from the corporate buying desk down to the store floor.
  • Account & Authorization Growth: Expand the existing regional footprint by continuously identifying opportunities to increase product distribution and package authorizations.
  • Budget Management: Own and deliver the marketing budget (CMA) for assigned accounts, tracking ROI on customized marketing and point-of-sale (POS) initiatives.
  • Business Reviews & Analysis: Develop and present annual business reviews for accounts, tracking feature ad activity and conducting comprehensive post-advertisement effectiveness analysis.
  • Internal Operational Liaison: Act as the seamless communication bridge between major retail customers, brand partners, and internal warehouse and delivery teams to quickly resolve logistics concerns.
What You Bring
  • Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field + 5 years of sales/marketing management experience, OR 7+ years of experience without a degree. A valid driver's license is required.
  • Industry Roots: Proven account management or sales background handling multi-account portfolios in CPG, beverage, or wine/spirits. Backgrounds from major beverage houses or broad CPG giants are highly preferred.
  • Financial Literacy: Direct experience managing a commercial budget; comfortable navigating P&L and ROI concepts to evaluate promotional effectiveness.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional oral and written communication skills to deliver polished client reviews and clear internal summaries. Must be an analytical thinker who can translate account data into programmatic solutions.
  • The "Plusses": Candidates coming from the retail side (e.g., corporate grocery buyers or category managers) who understand the vendor relationship from the other side of the desk are highly encouraged to apply.
Schedule & Compensation
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday. Fully onsite at your nearest designated company facility when not traveling.
  • Travel: Regional travel is roughly 25–30% annually, tracking heavier from Memorial Day through the winter holidays.
  • Total Comp: $65,000 – $85,000 base salary (with flex for a rock star candidate), up to a 10% performance-based bonus, and a $650/month non-taxable car allowance.
  • The Environment: This role is a backfill for a 25+ year retirement, joining a young, tight-knit, and collaborative team within an established, stable independent consumer goods operation offering accessible senior mentorship.
