Responsible for promoting sales in the center‑of‑the‑plate (COP) category and working with vendors to obtain the lowest cost of goods available for the required quality of product. Understand market condition changes and their impact on COP costs. May procure COP products, requiring purchasing decisions and leverage buys based on tonnage, either by individual OpCo or groups of OpCos. Support the sales team through demonstration and education on COP products and serve as a team member within the department and cross‑functions.
Responsibilities- Obtain optimum cost of goods sold by leveraging purchasing based on tonnage.
- Build relationships with suppliers, sales staff, OpCo personnel, and customers.
- Support sales by providing education, training, and demonstration of COP items as needed.
- Communicate negotiated deals broadly to maximize benefit.
- Negotiate pricing and purchasing deals with vendors/suppliers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent. 1–2 years of experience in sales/marketing, business, or a related area within the food service industry. Previous Center of Plate (COP) experience.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Sales/Marketing, Business, or a related area. 2–4 years of experience in sales/marketing, business, or a related area within the food service industry. Previous Center of Plate (COP) experience.
