Position: Senior Communications Network Engineer with Security Clearance
Location: Patuxent River

Job #: 3033175 Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Senior Communications Network Engineer with one of our DoD/ Government clients. This will be a ‘6-month contract to hire’ opportunity. You’ll work 5 days onsite each week in Carderock, Maryland.

Carderock, MD
Onsite expectation: 5 days onsite per week
Clearance Level: Secret Contract Rate: $41-53/HR / Hourly on W2 + $5.09 HR Fringe Pay Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
- Active Secret Clearance
- CompTIA SEC+ ce certification or like for 8570 requirements for IATII
- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field AND 4-5+ years of IT Experience OR 8-9+ years IT experience if no degree.

- CCNA certification OR Candidate must agree to obtaining the CCNA cert within 6 months of onboarding Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Evaluate communication hardware and software.

• Troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN), Base Area Networks (BAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN).

• Administer LAN/BAN/WAN environments.

• Schedule and manage network conversions and cutovers.

• Coordinate with all responsible users and sites to ensure smooth transitions.

• Apply specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks.

• Participate in the integration and testing of complex, large-scale computer integrated networks. Why Join our Mission:
