Overview
We are currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for Express Lube Technician new hires. $2,500 is payable after 90 days of employment, and the remaining $2,500 is payable after 180 days of employment.
Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Express Lube Technician in Myersville, Maryland for 2nd Shift
. The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment located on customer job sites or in a shop setting as needed. Seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a shop service environment; high school diploma or GED required.
- Perform preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment located on customer job sites or in a shop setting as needed.
- Operate a variety of equipment in the field and on customer job-sites with minimal supervision.
- Ensure proper use of overhead and field service cranes and operating equipment such as boom trucks or equivalents.
- Complete service reports and provide pertinent details for work orders; proficient with computers, Microsoft Office and service software as required.
- Maintain safety and environmental compliance; promote a positive customer experience.
- Work overtime as required by job and customer demand; travel extensively as needed.

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a shop service environment; high school diploma or GED required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform responsibilities at customer job sites with minimal supervision.
- Possess an excellent driving record; valid Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain a CDL or DOT certification.
- Capable of operating boom truck or equivalent; proper use of overhead and field service cranes.
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment in the field and on customer job-sites.
- Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software; able to complete service reports and provide pertinent details for work orders.
- Ability to work overtime as required; comply with all safety and environmental requirements.
- Efficient use of supplies with limited waste; extensive travel required throughout the year.
Ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 70 pounds; repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
CompensationStarting Compensation Range: $33.60 - $41.52 per hour
Actual base pay may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, and other business needs. Total compensation may include participation in performance-based incentive programs, such as discretionary or non-discretionary plans.
