What you will do
This is a mechanical HVAC service and repair position. You will be equipped with the necessary tools to perform your job to the highest standard, providing our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items. As a trusted advisor to customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.
How you will do itProbationary employees shall perform mechanical equipment service and all other work coming under the labor agreement assigned by the employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the employer, and shall perform all assigned work under the direction of the employer.
- Troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and resolve equipment issues.
- Respond to basic calls for service.
- Keep JCI, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues as needed.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility runs efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled in an HVAC certificate program.
- Familiarity with HVAC equipment (residential or light commercial).
- Ability to perform general building maintenance.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work independently.
- Current driver’s license.
- Willingness to supplement on‑the‑job training.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with HVAC related applications and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Preferred: EPA Refrigeration certification.
This is a bargaining unit position. Pay range: $20.35 hourly, determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
