Position Overview

Are you looking for an opportunity to build a long-term career in the electrical trade? Beitzel Corporation is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Electrical Apprentices. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in a structured 4-year apprenticeship program that combines classroom instruction with hands‑on training and mentorship from experienced electricians and industry professionals.

As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside Electricians and Electrical Foremen to assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on a variety of commercial, industrial, and construction projects. You'll gain valuable experience working in industries such as manufacturing, power generation, aggregate, oil and gas, solar, wind energy, and other industrial environments while developing the skills needed for a successful career and future electrical licensing.

Candidates must be enrolled in, or willing to begin, the Maryland Electrical Apprenticeship Program and be committed to completing the licensing path. This position requires flexibility, as travel, overnight work, extended hours, and occasional weekend or holiday work may be required based on project needs.

What You'll Do
  • Provide physical labor and general labor to electrical trades and to various construction and industrial projects
  • Assist Electricians and Electrical Foremen with installing and maintaining electrical and power systems
  • Run a variety of styles and sizes of conduit to electrical devices
  • Pull wire to connection boxes, switch panels and other terminals
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Participate and stay up‑to‑date with the MD Apprenticeship program and all associated studies
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a professional and workman‑like manner
Working Conditions
  • Sit, talk, hear, read, and write
  • Walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Kneel, stoop, bend, squat, and climb a ladder
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Work at a variety of heights
  • Work in confined spaces
  • Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
  • Perform duties on‑site and underground at industrial locations
What You'll Bring
  • 0‑4 years of electrical experience or equivalent/relevant education preferred
  • Must possess the MD Electrical Apprentice License within 60 days of employment
  • Possess working knowledge of Industrial Electrical Services preferred
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
  • Ability to take accurate measurements
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Skill in dealing with the public in a manner which will facilitate constructive problem solving
