Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment in our local retail stores. The role requires commercial refrigeration and HVAC skills and use of hand, digital, and power tools.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Refrigerant handling certification
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass an MVR report
• High school diploma or equivalent (18 years or older)
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience (included if available)
• Mechanical or HVAC/R technical certification with 2–4 years of mechanical maintenance or construction experience in commercial HVAC/R and building controls (optional)

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital devices, and power tools.
• Receive and document repair work orders using the work order management system to support stores and associates.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test equipment and fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and procedures outlined in Walmart’s safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights as needed.
