Fire Sprinkler InspectorWill perform inspections associated with fire sprinkler systems and other water-based equipment in accordance with all national and local standards. In addition to primary responsibilities, you will mentor and provide on‑the‑job training to entry level inspectors, fostering knowledge sharing within the team.
Responsibilities- Inspect wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow prev enters, fire hydrants, and fire pumps.
- Perform fire sprinkler, fire pump, and other water‑based equipment inspections and testing.
- Document deficiencies or impairments noted during inspections and follow required reporting processes while on‑site.
- Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed.
- Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment; follow corporate policies related to vehicle use and care.
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.
- Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments near mechanical and electrical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high‑lift equipment; work in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license with limited violations; meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state‑recognized GED; associate’s degree in electronics or related field preferred.
- NICET Sprinkler WBS Certification Level I.
- Ability to obtain NICET WBS Level II within 12 months.
- 3+ years of experience performing ITM of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.
- Ability to read and understand design and construction documents.
The pay range for this position is $47,053 — $80,662 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
