location: hollywood, md job summary: the electrical technician is responsible for performing the full range of duties in electrical systems for aircraft installations. Duties/responsibilities:
* provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after production.
* install and maintain electrical systems including cable harness/components.
* assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
* modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, in accordance with electrical drawings/schematics.
* set up and operate test equipment.
* analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems.
* ability to understand redline processes while working closely with supervisor.
* build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical component/wire harness, iaw the electrical drawing /schematics.
* perform other duties as are necessary and/or required. Basic requirements level i:
* high school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of experience with electronic systems, electronics troubleshooting, electronic testing design, analyzing information.
* ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (u.s. Citizenship required).
* attention to detail.
* recurring fod training and awareness, upon hire and annually.
* ability to comprehend schematics and integration/installation drawings. Basic requirements level ii:
* high school diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience with electronic systems, electronics troubleshooting, electronic testing design, analyzing information.
* ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
* attention to detail.
* recurring fod training and awareness, upon hire and annually.
* ability to comprehend schematics and integration/installation drawings.

Preferred qualifications:

* knowledge of ipc/whma-a 620 certification.

Physical requirements:

* must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
* manual dexterity and physical strength are necessary to operate tools or make adjustments and repairs.
* must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects.
* ability to traverse manufacturing facility. The range for this position is $20.00 to $37.00. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education and training, job-related knowledge and skills, the scope and level of responsibility of the position, internal equity, and market/business considerations.
