• Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs, including steering, electrical, cooling, braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions, and engine rebuilds, in accordance with all relevant guidelines.
• Test-drive vehicles post-repair to ensure issues are resolved.
• Arrange for and obtain inspections and approvals for major repairs before releasing vehicles.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment in compliance with all guidelines.
• Identify and report additional maintenance needs during repairs.
• Record work details, parts used, and time spent accurately.
• Report unsafe conditions or vehicle abuse to Lead Technician.
• Perform on-road repairs and road calls as assigned.

• Certified technician with a 310T or 310S certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of fleet maintenance experience, including engine rebuilds on diesel trucks or buses.
• Experience with diesel and gasoline engines in a large fleet environment.
• Proficiency with computerized diagnostics.
• Knowledge of shop computer systems, purchasing, and budget management.
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills are a plus.
