UC-35 Citation
- Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P).

Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on UC-35 Cessna Citation aircraft.

(Level of Mechanic employment is based on years of specific UC-35 Cessna Citation hands-on A&P mechanic experience).

A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.

The Union CBA contract provides 3 levels A&P employment, based on years of experience on the assigned (MDS) aircraft UC-35 Cessna Citation aircraft. (Specific details in Min Requirements).

  • AM-1 - Two (2) Years of UC-35 A&P mechanic experience.
  • AM-2 - Five (5) years of UC-35 A&P mechanic experience.
  • AM-3 - Thirteen (13) years of UC-35 A&P mechanic experience.

US Citizenship is Required to obtain the Secret Security Clearance required, and for facility and base access.

Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.

These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.

Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.

Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.

Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.

Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.

Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.

Perform engine run or taxi operations.

Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.

Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.

Union CBA Site, provides 3 levels of A&P experience, based on specific years of experience on the (MDS) Mission Design series aircraft assigned; UC-35 Cessna Citation.

  • AM-1 Requires
    - Two (2) Years A&P experience is required, with two (2) or more years of specific UC-35 being preferred.
  • AM-2 Requires
    - Five (5) years of UC-35 Cessna Citation hands-on A&P aircraft mechanic experience is required.
  • AM-3 Requires
    - Ten (10) years of A&P mechanic experience, and Thirteen (13) years of UC-35 Cessna Citation specific aircraft experience required.

A valid Driver's License is required.

Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.

Mechanic Tools/Toolbox Required. Mechanics must provide their own tools and toolbox; tools must be etched with mechanic PID, and toolbox shadowed for each tool. (Recruiters can provide specific Tool requirement information).

Must be willing and able to work any shift and/or days, hours as assigned under the Union CBA.

May be required to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.

Security Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility. (AR95-20)

Medical- A&P Mechanic Pre-employment

Physical Requirements:

All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years.
