Carbon Steel Pipe Welder

Location:

Glen Burnie, MD
• Salary: $24-28 per hour
• Full‑time

• 4 years of overall experience
• Can set up a welding machine & adjust it for the process and material being welded

• Capable of welding carbon steel pipe using the SMAW process, 2" socket weld, and 1-1/2" 24" butt weld on SCH 40 & SCH 80 wall thickness
• Must be able to pass a 6" 6G pipe test and weld in all positions
• Weld quality must pass an X‑ray test
• Willing to work at least 40 hours per week, and up to 7‑12s if required by contract
• Flexibility on the work environment (dirty versus clean), night shift as may be required, and indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions
• Flexibility to work outside the trade if welding work is not available

• Own transportation and willingness to work within the MAIC region (MD, Southern PA, Northern VA, Eastern WV, and DE)
• Schedule:
  
  4‑10s (Mon‑Thu or Tue‑Fri), starting at 6:30 AM
• US Citizen or Green Card verified
• Must pass a welding test – hiring at MAIC contingent on the test result
• Must pass a 10‑panel drug and alcohol screening

• 100% office role with travel
