Master Mechanic

Green Bay Packaging seeks a hands-on Master Mechanic to support Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management in our manufacturing & production operations. This role leads troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of high-speed converting and packaging equipment, ensuring maximum uptime, quality, and safety. The Master Mechanic performs advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagnostics; executes preventive and predictive maintenance; and partners with engineers on upgrades and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting and repair of high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment
• Plan and perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on equipment upgrades and reliability improvements
• Document work in CMMS and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Mentor and train maintenance technicians on best practices and safety procedures
• Support capital projects, installations, and start-ups of new equipment
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and asset performance
