- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by having a “person-centered” focus.
- Teach independent living and daily skills to the persons‑served by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines.
- Actively plan, coordinate, and participate with residents in social activities including frequent community outings.
- Instruct, support, and participate in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning, preparing meals, food shopping, etc.
- Is friendly and enjoys going out
- Communicates very well
- Is likable, loves music, bowling and is family oriented
- Likes Walmart, birthday parties and enjoys having their best friend around
- Likes to watch others cook
- Uses a wheelchair and has a Gtube
- Earned High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided.
- Experience in a residential setting serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or other types of special needs populations (rehabilitation settings, nursing homes, psychiatric hospitals, other behavioral health settings, etc.).
