Social Worker
Under general supervision of the Supervisor for Social and Emotional Support Services Unit, this professional will serve as a liaison between the program, school personnel, families and outside resources. They will be responsible for providing intensive counseling to students who are placed in the school programs for students with significant social, emotional and behavioral challenges, assisting them with academic learning by providing strategic services that identify and address the social-emotional environmental issues that interfere with the educational process.
Responsibilities include delivering related services, collaborating on social-emotional goals, maintaining strict MOIEP documentation, conducting risk assessments, managing crisis center/CPS referrals, leading re-entry meetings, and providing direct behavior intervention. Provide group/individual counseling, in-the-moment de-escalation, restorative student-staff conversations, and rotational ESY coverage. Conduct home visits and connect families to external resources addressing food, housing, and medical insecurity. Attend weekly/monthly interdisciplinary meetings and provide professional development to school staff, CPI training required.
The wage range for this position is a salary between $66,690 and $135,745 based on education and experience.
