Software Developer, Senior; DSS

We have an opening in Indian Head, MD for a dynamic, Software Developer with Java rich client and web application development experience, a strong core Java knowledge, and knowledge of full stack .NET web development to assist with our front-end side of the house. The selected candidate will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and/or modifying enterprise-wide systems and/or application software.

• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Principles and concepts, and design patterns and their applications
• Knowledge of databases (MySQL/T-SQL, SQL-Server, SQL development and TOAD)
• Working knowledge of both rich client and web application development using current MVC frameworks
• Experience with software configuration management processes and performing Software CM functions on a major project/program
• Working knowledge of PC-based software tools for project tracking and collaboration tools, integration, build, and release of software, software configuration management and source control tools (ex. Azure Dev Ops, JIRA, GIT/SVN)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and directly with customers
• Experience using Java/Java script technologies (SWT, SWING, RCP, JSP, EJB)
• Experience with full stack .NET web development (SQL database; C# backend; JavaScript [JQuery]; HTML/CSS, React.js)
• Experience using Java development tools (ex. Maven, Eclipse, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Information Technology or related field
• Minimum of5+ years of experience in software development or engineering
• Active
  
  DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Must be able to attain and maintain Top Secret clearance
• Advanced proficiency inJava backend development with frameworks such as Spring MVC
• Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and creating responsive, user-friendly web interfaces
• In-depth knowledge ofobject-oriented programming, design patterns, and software design principles
• Proficiency with
  
  GITfor source control (branching, merging, and conflict resolution)
• Familiarity with Microsoft ADO, continuous integration, and automated deployment processes
• Experience with software configuration management to maintain code integrity and development consistency
• Strong database development and management skills using
  
  MySQL/T-SQLandSQL Server
• Understanding ofAgileand
  
  Waterfalldevelopment methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $110,000 to $160,000 (annually).
