Big Bear.ai is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team in Annapolis Junction, MD. • Collaborate with analysts and operators to understand their unique UI needs and challenges.
• Design, develop, and maintain user-facing web applications for data visualization, task automation, and workflow optimization.
• Take ownership of projects, driving them from concept to completion with minimal supervision.
• Architect and implement scalable, high-performance front-end solutions that align with mission objectives.
• Continuously improve and optimize existing codebases to ensure maintainability and performance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and tool optimization.

• Experience: 12+ years of technical experience and a B.S. in a technical discipline (or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree).
• Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly (required).
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, particularly the React ecosystem, for building user interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance front-end architectures (e.g., state management, responsive design).
  • Familiarity with modern version control (Git) and Dev Ops tools, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Mindset: A problem-solving attitude, adaptability, and a passion for delivering high-quality, user-focused solutions.
• Mission-Driven: A proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to the unique challenges of the CNO mission.

• Advanced knowledge of the React ecosystem (e.g., Vite, Tanstack Query, Tailwind CSS, Redux).
• Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Chart.js, D3.js, Recharts).
• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, SQLite, Postgres) and Elasticsearch.
• Exposure to Django, Web Sockets, Redis, and real-time data handling frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Linux (CentOS/RHEL), and cloud services (S3, EC2, RDS).
• Prior experience in CNO or XP/Agile software development.
• Knowledge of software reverse engineering and XKS.
