CACI is seeking a Software Engineer to work with a team of developers to implement new capabilities in support of the current classification marking tool and the tool to be used to support M365 web-based applications. The position involves full life cycle design, development, testing, and documentation of policy-driven software across multiple fabrics. The focus will include the extension and customization of tools used for classification string validation and comparison for access control.
Extensive experience in JavaScript is required. Some working knowledge and experience with .NET or C# is needed. The developer is expected to have experience with requirements elicitation. The developer should be able to work collaboratively, within an existing team. The candidate will be expected to provide input throughout the software lifecycle.
Full Life Cycle Design and Development:
Participate in the full software development life cycle, including design, development, testing, and documentation.
Create and maintain policy-driven software solutions across multiple fabrics.
Work with a team of developers to implement new features and capabilities in support of the current classification marking tool.
Develop tools to support M365 web-based applications.
Extend and customize existing tools used for classification string validation and comparison.
Ensure these tools effectively support access control mechanisms.
Utilize extensive experience in JavaScript for development tasks.
Apply working knowledge and experience with .NET or C# where necessary.
Engage in requirements elicitation to gather and clarify needs from stakeholders.
Translate requirements into technical specifications and design documents.
Work collaboratively within an existing team to achieve project goals.
Provide constructive input and feedback throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in testing activities to ensure the quality and functionality of developed software.
Identify and report bugs and work on resolutions in a timely manner.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed software, including design documents, user guides, and technical specifications.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software development.
Contribute to the improvement of development processes and tools within the team.
Required:
TS/SCI with polygraph
Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to computer engineering or computer science disciplines is required. 4 years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree, for a total of 9 years.
5+ years of software engineering experience is required.
2+ years’ work experience in a SIGINT, IA, or IT domains is required.
Have working knowledge of JavaScript, Junit, and Cypress
Working knowledge of JIRA and Gitlab
Experience performing code reviews
Ability to work directly with customers
Troubleshooting skills
Gather, analyze, and capture customer requirements
Adhere to development processes the team has established
Assist in the development of requirements for new features and fix defects
Create and expand unit tests
Track and respond to user issues/questions
Triage user issues
Test new software releases and merge requests
Familiarity with Classification rules
Experience working collaboratively with a team of developers, Contractors, and the Government
Contribute content for the development of high-level documentation and guides
Familiarity with cloud and server side VMs, networking, and security protocols and best practices
Strong, Time Management skills
