Sr Android Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr Android Developer for a Contract with a client in Owings Mills, MD
. The ideal candidate must bring deep Android development experience while leading complex development efforts and collaborating with architecture, Dev Ops, and security teams.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Lead the end‑to‑end design, development, and enhancement of Android applications for financial services, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
• Mentor and guide developers, providing technical leadership, code reviews, and support to enable independent, high‑quality delivery.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, Dev Ops, and security teams to build scalable, secure, and compliant Android solutions.
• Drive architectural and design discussions, offering realistic estimations and outlining trade‑offs between tactical and strategic approaches.
• Contribute to solution planning and cross‑functional technical decisions while independently managing complex development initiatives.
• Partner with internal customer teams to refine requirements, identify innovative solutions, and ensure delivery meets business and regulatory needs.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8–10 years of Android development experience, including leading complex, enterprise‑grade app deliveries.
• Deep expertise with Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, modern app architecture (MVVM/Clean), and secure development practices for financial services.
• Proven experience leading teams, driving architectural decisions, and collaborating with Architecture/Dev Ops/Security to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
