Summary

Agile Defense is looking for a Java Automation Engineer or Java Automation Developer to join a large‑scale national security program responsible for protecting U.S. transportation infrastructure. The program focuses on risk assessments of individuals attempting to access transportation systems, requiring demanding response times, availability, and transaction volume. The program uses Agile Development, and the Engineer/Developer will be a member of an Agile team.

Agile Certification Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Additional years of experience may substitute for a formal degree.

Required Skills

2+ years of Java development experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
Experience with Java/JEE
Experience with Agile Development
Ability to independently manage tasks and deadlines

Preferred Skills

Experience with JMS, XML, Angular, or SQL
Experience in a large‑scale federal IT program with high availability requirements
