Senior Principal Software Engineer, Hyperscale

• Design and implement innovative solutions for large-scale software environments requiring high-performance computing (HPC) and hyperscale solutions.
• Analyze existing software solutions, assess bottlenecks, and design performant computational solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, solutions architects, and stakeholders to optimize software performance and maintainability.
• Lead or participate in technical discussions and provide guidance to team members.

• Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• 8+ years of experience with C/C++ on Unix/Linux platforms using Make/CMake build systems.
• Proficiency in HPC applications, hyperscale compute, and storage architectures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer network architecture and software architecture.
• Experience with delay-tolerant networking, scalable technologies, and microservice architectures.
• Team or task leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.

Position work locations are Annapolis Junction, MD or Dulles, VA. This position is not relocation eligible; a signing bonus may be offered for the sufficiently qualified candidate.

Salary range: $122,000 – $253,000.
