  • Maintain the performance, reliability, and overall health of the Appian platform in partnership with Appian support, ensuring stable, well‑performing workflows across the enterprise.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of learning and accountability.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and 5+ years of progressive software development experience building enterprise applications and integrations.
  • Strong experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting backend systems using Java or equivalent programming languages such as Python.
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services including S3, SQS, Lambda, EC2, ECS/Fargate, Cloud Watch, IAM, and related services.
  • Strong experience building and supporting integrations with AWS‑hosted applications using REST APIs and event‑driven patterns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs and working with microservices‑based architectures.
  • Experience conducting design reviews and contributing to engineering standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ownership mindset for production support.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams.
