Senior Software Engineer / Reverse Engineer position on a U.S. Government contract. This full‑time role supports a mission‑critical software and systems program for a federal client.
Job Description:Glia Cell is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Reverse Engineer to develop cutting‑edge security tools in a fast‑paced, agile environment. Responsibilities include building Python applications, reverse engineering network traffic and web applications, and collaborating with analysts, data scientists, and other software engineers.
Responsibilities:- Develop Python applications to automate analysis and operational workflows.
- Reverse engineer network traffic and web applications.
- Collect requirements from customers and ensure proper functionality.
- Coordinate with a team of software developers to incorporate new technologies and leverage shared libraries.
- Manage data flow and formatting to integrate into client systems.
- Active or re‑instatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Professional experience: 12 years and a Bachelor of Science degree, or 4 additional years in lieu of a BS.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, and other common web traffic.
- Experience with Burp Suite, browser developer tools, or Wireshark for monitoring network communications.
- Production‑grade software development experience in Python.
- Experience with service containerization and deployment using Docker/Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Git/Gitlab.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
Skills:
- Experience prototyping web applications (JavaScript).
- Analyzing cyber security‑related data sets (network traffic, OS events).
- Knowledge of end‑to‑end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
- Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations.
- Experience developing or reverse engineering mobile applications and communications.
- Ability to design and manipulate Gitlab CI/CD automated builds.
Laurel, MD (onsite full time)
Salary Range:The salary range for this full‑time position is $200,000 to $280,000. Sign‑on bonus eligible.
