Job Overview
Nightwing offers advanced cyber, data operations, systems integration, and intelligence support services to clients in the intelligence, defense, civil, and commercial sectors. The Senior CNO Software Developer will join the CODEX team, creating and maintaining custom software tools and techniques in Python, C++, and Java for Windows and Linux platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test and maintain CNO (Computer Network Operations) software tools.
- Use Python, C++ and Java to implement solutions for Windows and Linux environments.
- Diagnose and debug issues using industry-standard and custom toolsets.
- Write clear documentation for operating and supporting the developed tools.
- Attend design meetings and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
- Interface with customers to gather requirements and communicate status.
- 6–10 years of professional programming experience in C/C++ (or similar) and Python.
- Deep understanding of network protocols and operating system internals.
- Experience with binary analysis tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra or equivalent.
- Familiarity with modern software engineering practices and CNO techniques.
- Ability to gather requirements and design solutions with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in presenting development plans and forecasting deliverables.
- Strong grasp of software security concepts such as ASLR and DEP.
- Experience with multiple architectures (ARM, RISC, PPC, etc.) is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Security clearance required:
Top Secret/SCI + CI Poly.
Salary range: $99,000–$206,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
