Software Engineer
Booz Allen is looking for a Software Engineer who is driven by purpose and ready to build software that directly supports critical operations across the space domain. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and enhance the software for ground systems and real‑time capabilities that space missions rely on. You’ll take ownership of complex engineering challenges, from modernizing legacy components to architecting new mission‑focused capabilities that improve performance, resilience, and operational speed.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and enhance software for ground systems and real‑time space mission capabilities.
- Modernize legacy components and architect microservice‑based mission‑focused solutions.
- Shape how data is processed, how systems communicate, and how mission teams execute with precision.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex technical problems.
- Experience in software development with programming languages such as Java, Python, Rust, or Go.
- Experience with Linux‑based systems, containers, and orchestration tools, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience transitioning legacy applications to a modernized microservice‑based architecture.
- Experience working within a Cloud Service Provider (CSP), such as AWS, Azure, or Google.
- Experience using back‑end and front‑end languages to develop complete solutions.
- Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative and cross‑functional team.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Top Secret clearance (required).
Nice: TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- Experience in an Agile environment.
- Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.
- Experience with C#, C, C++, JavaScript, React, or Node.
JS. - Ability to work with automated testing tools for testing and maintenance.
