Sr. Application Developer - ServiceNow

The Sr. Application Developer – Service Now is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining applications and solutions on the Service Now platform to support the organization’s day-to-day IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Customer Service Management (CSM), Workplace Service Delivery (WSD), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), and other business operations. Specific duties include developing and customizing Service Now modules, creating integrations with other enterprise systems, systems analysis, developing and modifying highly complex platform functionalities and workflows, testing, debugging, verification, documentation, system installation, and the solution of IT service and business problems.

Key Functions:

• Develops and maintains Service Now applications and modules
• Migrates Legacy IT service applications and workflows to the Service Now platform
• Develops and customizes Service Portal interfaces
• Provides operational support for existing Service Now and integrated applications
• Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains Service Now applications and enhancements
• Develops and adheres to standard SDLC and Agile methodologies to produce project results that are measurable and delivered on time and within budget
• Develops and adheres to team project standards for Service Now development including tools, platforms, methodology, and controls to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency
• Prepares detailed software specifications and test plans for Service Now solutions
• Performs quality assurance reviews of Service Now configurations and code
• Provides program and system level time/cost estimates for Service Now projects
• Evaluates and modifies various Service Now Store applications and integrations to obtain optimal configuration for the enterprise environment
• Provides technical documentation updated to the latest enhancement or release of Service Now solutions
• Assists in reviewing the current technical architecture, including design patterns and development methodologies within the Service Now ecosystem
• 6+ years’ experience in Service Now development and administration using:
• Service Now platform development and configuration
• Web Service integrations (SOAP or REST frameworks)
• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD)

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years’ experience in Service Now development and administration using:
• Service Now platform development and configuration.
• Web Service integrations (SOAP or REST frameworks).
• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Preferences:

• Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in relevant modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CSM, WSD, SPM).
• Experience with Service Now Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and Dev Ops practices.
• Experience with Service Now integrations with other enterprise systems (e.g., LDAP, SSO, other APIs).
