Solipsys is a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace/RTX and is currently seeking a Principal Software Engineer who is enthusiastic, hardworking, and proactive in writing and developing code using programming languages and related technologies such as Java, C++, Angular, GraphQL, REST, Kaf Ka, and Typescript (among many others). The successful candidate will work in an exciting environment, directly driving the design, architecture, and development of new software systems and products utilizing these technologies.

Solipsys is an industry leader in the development of command and control software systems and operates in a dynamic, complex, fast‑paced business environment with both commercial and Government customers, including a mix of domestic and international pursuits and programs. This is an onsite role at our Fulton MD facility

• Design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment.
• Develop innovative new features for a new real-time situational awareness Command & Control (C2) systems.
• Work in a highly collaborate team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions.
• Engage & build positive relationships with both customers as well as internal & external employees.
• Travel to customer sites for demos, integration and support.

• Relevant work experience in software development using object oriented programming languages such as Java or C++.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval. Relevant work experience with full life cycle development including exposure to software requirements, design, development, debug and test.
