Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Senior Enterprise Software Engineer to design and build secure, scalable systems that power critical national security, space, and health missions. You'll lead end-to-end development of enterprise applications and data services, architect cloud-native and on-prem solutions, and mentor engineers on best practices. Collaborating with scientists and domain experts, you'll turn complex mission needs into robust software, with strong support for research, innovation, and professional growth in a highly collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable enterprise software systems for mission-critical applications
- Lead end-to-end development across architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and domain experts to translate mission needs into technical solutions
- Architect and optimize cloud-native and hybrid environments for performance and reliability
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Dev
