Responsibilities
Lead, expand, and implement initial and recurrent training programs for transportation personnel.Provide operator retraining following accidents.Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel training for paratransit and transit bus drivers, ensuring successful completion of training and testing; recommend upgrades as needed.Provide ongoing training and performance evaluations for all drivers.Assist with monthly safety meetings.Support accident response and investigation processes.Correct operators when safety policies or procedures are violated.Coach operators on safety events effectively.Assist the Safety Manager with process implementation and training.Support other assignments as directed by the Safety Manager.Lead driver cadetting by assigning trainees to senior drivers for training on their bid lines.Work well both independently and as part of a team.Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.At least 3 years of experience as a trainer in the transportation industry preferred.Supervisory experience, especially in supervising or training drivers, preferred.CDL Class B license with Passenger and Air Brakes endorsements (required).Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and transportation-related software.Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.Excellent multi-tasking and time management abilities.Ability to provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship, fostering a positive environment.Capable of responding to unforeseen events and adapting quickly.Skilled in investigating claims, incidents, and misconduct.Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheets.We Offer Physical Health
