Transdev is hiring Dispatchers at our WMATA location. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

- Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route start on time, performance, incidents, etc.
- Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
- Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
- Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
- Other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or GED;
Technical Degree preferred. - 3-5 years’ experience dispatching.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- 10% of work is accomplished indoors and in air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facilities.
- 90% of work is accomplished outdoors in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; most work is performed alone and in remote locations.
- Frequently stands and walks; ability to sit for up to three hours; walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces; normal manual dexterity and eye‑hand coordination; ability to lift or handle material weighing up to 50–75 lbs. without assistance; ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl and crouch; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication.
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
- Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
- Exposure to cleaning solutions, oils, and other liquids.
- Must be able to travel for company training, meeting or support missions.
- Transdev maintains a drug‑free workplace.

- Applicants must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
