LGV Class 2 Driver – Clinical Waste Collections – Redhill
Salary: Competitive + driver bonus scheme + fully funded continued CPC (completed on a working day).
Contract: Full‑time, permanent.
Hours: 44.75 hours per week (average) – typically Mon‑Fri, 6:00–15:15, plus alternate Saturday mornings, 6:00–10:30.

We’re seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Transport team at our Gatwick depot. This is an opportunity to be part of an organisation committed to transforming the way waste is managed and unlocking its potential for a cleaner, greener world.
In this role, you’ll support our mission by learning to drive and operate a range of waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently, with a particular focus on hazardous clinical waste collections.
What you’ll be responsible forDaily vehicle checks: complete inspections and report defects in line with legal requirements.
Compliance: follow tachograph legislation, WTD, SOPs, and Risk Assessments.
Accurate reporting: report incidents, near misses, contaminated bins, and non‑conforming waste promptly and accurately.
Vehicle upkeep: maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete weekly wheel‑nut torque checks.
Safety standards: wear and maintain PPE/uniform to required Health & Safety standards.
Customer service: provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
Time & record management: ensure punctuality, accurate paperwork, and flexibility with working hours, including overtime when required.

What you’ll bringLGV Class 2 licence (Category
C), Driver Qualification Card (DQC), and digital tachograph card.
Class 1 (C+E) licence is desirable.
Experience operating waste collection vehicles is essential.
Experience with roll‑on/roll‑off, skip loaders, or front‑end loaders is an advantage (training provided).
Willingness to learn and apply new skills.
Positive, proactive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Basic understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret maps and directions accurately.
ADR certification is desirable (training available).
Comfortable operating a variety of vehicle types and being multiskilled.
