Position2nd Shift Material Handler
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM-2:00 AM, with a 30-minute paid lunch and a $2/hour shift differential for evening hours. You’ll keep the shop running smoothly while enjoying long weekends, steady work, and extra pay for your time.
Responsibilities- Handle incoming and outgoing shipments; verify materials against orders; keep production stocked and ready.
- Operate forklifts, motorized equipment, and overhead cranes to move and organize materials safely.
- Move materials to and from processing areas, queues, and other work areas to maintain workflow.
- Assist shipping and receiving, unload trucks, and check in merchandise.
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pull materials; pack boxes; place orders in delivery area.
- Organize and maintain storage and work areas for easy access and identification of products; keep shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat and safe.
- Communicate with shop supervisors about needs in various areas (material staging, consumables, equipment).
- Complete and manage paperwork related to incoming, outgoing, and stocked materials.
- Unload incoming material deliveries; verify load tickets against purchase orders.
- Sit, stand, talk, hear, read, and write.
- Regularly walk; use hands; climb in and out of equipment such as forklifts; work inside and outside in harsh weather.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred; experience with motorized equipment (forklifts and overhead cranes) required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to use basic measuring devices (tape measures); knowledge of metal plate types and shapes preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
