Warehouse Team Lead Manager 1st Shift

Position Summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Port Deposit, Maryland offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay $23.50 per hour
• Schedule Thursday – Saturday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and every other Wednesday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more prior experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more prior warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Minimal supervision work independent
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proactive approach to responsibilities

• Bilingual (for Québec locations only)

• Lead continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of operations.
• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to team members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members toward improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in providing appropriate orientation for employees and give them necessary information, technology, and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
