Distribution/ General Warehouse
Role Overview
This is a hands-on operational role that lives in the catering warehouse and helps keep events moving accurately,
efficiently, and on time. The Warehouse Expediter role is not intended to be a desk-only administrative position or
simply a packing position. This person is responsible for reviewing upcoming events, asking the right questions
before items are packed, physically checking trucks and bins before they leave, and helping connect the needs of
the front-of-house team, kitchen, and warehouse.
The right person for this role is highly detail-oriented, comfortable giving direction, and able to hold the team
accountable in a professional way. They should be able to look at an event from the full operations perspective,
including timing, presentation, staffing, truck space, equipment, food carts, substitutions, and client
expectations.

- Determine appropriate substitutions based on the event style, presentation, package, guest expectations, and available inventory.
- Communicate missing items, damage, shortages, or concerns before they become day-of problems.
- Help keep the warehouse clean, organized, and accountable so items are returned to the correct place after each event.

- Manage or help coordinate the warehouse schedule, dishwashing schedule, and support coverage based on event volume.
- Direct warehouse support team members as needed to complete operational tasks accurately and on time.
