Vytex Windows has been manufacturing premium vinyl windows and doors since 1988. We're looking for a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our 2nd Shift team in Laurel, MD.

In this role, you'll help keep materials moving efficiently throughout our operation, ensuring customer orders are received, staged, and shipped accurately, safely, and on time. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in supporting teammates while delivering excellent results every shift.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday: 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM

Mandatory overtime on Fridays as business needs require.

What You'll Do
  • Load, stage, and prepare finished windows and doors for shipment safely and accurately.
  • Receive, inspect, unload, and properly store incoming materials and deliveries.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment throughout the facility.
  • Support installation crews, drivers, production teams, and other departments with timely material requests.
  • Verify quantities, inspect materials for damage, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Utilize company systems to locate products, track inventory, and support operational efficiency.
  • Help ensure materials are available where and when needed to support production and customer commitments.
  • Maintain organized warehouse lanes, storage locations, and work areas.
  • Identify problems early and work with supervisors and teammates to resolve them before they impact production or customer deliveries.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture by assisting wherever needed to achieve operational goals.

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or material handling preferred.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Strong work ethic and proven reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support teammates.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work safely in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.

Qualifications
  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred or ability to become certified.
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adjusting to changing priorities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent bending, reaching, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
