County Surveyor

Overview

The County of Yuba is seeking a County Surveyor to join its Community Development and Services Agency (CDSA). This technical expert will provide professional land surveying expertise for the County, sharing insights with the Board of Supervisors, County departments, and special districts. They will oversee matters involving property boundaries, right of ways and street locations, and other entitlements while reviewing all maps and records for County/State compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a customer-service mentality, be eager to build positive working relationships, have exemplary planning and organization skills, and be a creative problem solver who can present alternative solutions, break down complex processes into simple terms, use logic and reasoning, and collaborate effectively.

The Community Development and Services Agency of Yuba County strives to improve the overall quality of life for residents and fiscal health of businesses by coordinating the orderly growth and development of the county. The Department consists of 11 divisions and has combined oversight of Planning, Building, Code Enforcement, Environmental Health, Public Works, Surveyor, Economic Development, Library, and Airport services for the County.
