The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Supervisory Contract Specialist (GS-1102-14) to work at Beale AFB, CA.
Member will serve as a second level supervisory contracting officer with warrant authority for an operational contracting acquisition flight providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over subordinate personnel.
Compensation & TravelSalary: $139,422 - $181,254.
Travel authorized up to 25%.
Permanent position.

- US citizenship is required.
- Serves as a warranted contracting officer with an unlimited warrant and completes required forms in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 USC 423).
- The employee must be willing to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
- Member is required to complete “Public Financial Disclosure Report” pursuant to Title I of the Ethics in Government Act of 1978, as amended (The “Act”), 5 USC App 101 Et Seq.
- A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field or at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, etc.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- Knowledge of the full range of federal contracting laws, regulations, policies, practices, methods, and contract types.
- Knowledge of a wide range of business practices and market conditions applicable to program and technical requirements.
- Skill in fact-finding, contract analysis and pricing techniques, problem resolution, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a moderate sized organization.
- 6-9 years’ experience requested.
