Position: Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Overview

Registered Nurse with a Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty is sought for a travel assignment in Marysville, California.

Start date:

08/10/2026 for 8 weeks. Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts. Weekly pay range: $2,375-$2,504 per week. This travel assignment is in a hospital setting and is represented by CNA. Guaranteed hours are not assigned to this contract.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for obstetric and newborn patients as assigned, applying the nursing process to plan and deliver care.
  • Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, document thoroughly, and adjust care based on patient status and physician orders.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary health care team to coordinate delivery of patient care across age groups as appropriate to the unit.
  • Incorporate teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall care plan for patients and families.
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to other nursing staff (e.g., CNAs) according to current clinical competence and scope of practice.
  • Maintain patient safety, adhere to infection control policies, and ensure accurate medication administration and documentation. This position is represented by CNA.
Requirements
  • Registered professional nurse (RN) duties as described for this assignment; licensure requirements align with job notes for the state of California.
  • Ability to provide care to patients across age groups as assigned by the unit, with emphasis on obstetric and newborn care in L&D settings.
  • Availability to work nights on a 3x12-hour schedule.
  • Willingness to participate in a travel assignment lasting approximately 8 weeks.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with physicians and the health care team.
