Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated shift.
• Prescribes nursing care based on the nursing process in alignment with the medical plan of care.
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate the delivery of patient care.
• Incorporates teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care.
• Delegates patient care delivery tasks to other nursing staff based on their clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
