Short Term Acute Care Hospital, Labor & Delivery unit
- Provide direct patient care for laboring and postpartum patients, including monitoring fetal status and maternal vitals
- Assist with labor, delivery, cesarean procedures as needed, and immediate postpartum care
- Administer medications per orders, maintain IV access, and manage routine postpartum pain control
- Perform neonatal assessment and stabilization, and coordinate newborn care with the interdisciplinary team
- Document care and plans in the electronic medical record; educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, doulas, and other care team members to ensure safe, high-quality perinatal care
- California RN license active and in good standing
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification required at time of hire
- Minimum two years of recent RN experience in the field; acute care experience preferred
- BSN degree preferred
- Perinatal/Labor & Delivery certifications:
Neonatal Resuscitation within 6 months, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 6 months, Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 1 year - For the Labor & Delivery role: NRP within 6 months
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Ability to work in a perinatal/Labor & Delivery setting and adapt to shift-based night coverage
