Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients across various age groups. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring quality patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status, needs, and concerns through detailed nursing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to oncology patients’ medical and emotional needs.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, adhering to safety protocols and legal guidelines.
• Educate patients and families on treatment processes, side effects, medication management, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document patient care activities accurately within the electronic health record system.

Qualifications:

• Maintain current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent acute care experience, preferably in oncology.
• Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Have ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Prefer OCN Certification and PICC line certification.
