Job Description
About the Team: Support the Engineering Department by performing a range of technical functions, including product evaluations, warranty teardown analysis, and testing activities. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to support product development, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires hands‑on technical expertise and the ability to conduct structured investigations under general guidance.
What you can look forward to as an Engineering Technician:- Maintain the Product Evaluation Area to ensure organization, cleanliness, and availability of required tools and resources.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all analysis, testing, and evaluations in accordance with company document retention standards.
- Track product inventory in alignment with established retention and storage requirements.
- Perform product and process audits; document findings and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct detailed analysis of warranty, durability, and product performance issues; document findings and support root cause investigations.
- Prepare technical reports summarizing analysis results and findings.
- Participate in customer or internal review meetings, as needed, to support failure analysis discussions.
- Support new product development activities, including prototype and pre‑production builds, testing, and evaluations.
- Associate Degree and 1–3+ years of related experience, with preferred experience in professional‑level engineering/analysis experience (internship/co‑op experience incl.) encompassing one or more of the following areas: test engineering/analysis, and gear manufacturing analysis. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with BOM structures, engineering drawings, design change procedures, and the technical facets/implications of product development in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer skills. Candidates must be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- TS16949 & ISO 14001 Awareness.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
