Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable activity in a timely and accurate manner.
• Daily data entry of routine vendor invoices and internal check requests.
• Data entry of intercompany invoices and non-routine invoices.
• Maintaining documentation for audit purposes.
• Contact with vendors/customers to resolve questions and/or expedite payment of invoices.
• Communicate with internal personnel to resolve questions or discrepancies related to invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation.
• Prepare accounts receivables, progress billings (e-mailing customer invoices to customers).
• Reviews cash postings to accounts (morning/afternoon deposits and wire transfers).
• Contacts customers on past due accounts, reviewing Letters of Credit, making decisions on credits to be issued and sending customer statements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in 10 Key.
• Adept with Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Previous Accounting Experience Preferred.
• Some College coursework in Finance/Accounting Preferred.
